This summer has had a whole other ball of wax stress and I'm hoping that soon we can get back on track, and wipe away these hard times.

Just Checking In
I'd like to say that I should end my blogging, because I'm done with all the hard stuff, but until I feel safely away from it all, it's still pretty prevalent. I'm still feeling good, a bit of that odd stomach thing again but maybe a few Tums can ward off an ulcer. Or maybe it's because I've been more active and parts that have been dormant are awake. It's hard to know. I have to work hard at not letting myself get scared. The other day Dane told me he often has "grim" thoughts that make him start to cry. I knew what those were and told him that THAT is not in my plans.

Tired Feets
We walked about 10 miles today all around New York City. This was officially logged via fitbit! My feets hurt! New York is great, enjoying the city so far-I'll be a little slow I bet tomorrow.
NYC
Our flight and check in the lovely St. Regis was a breeze. We have a chandelier and fancy pants everything, pretty nice. We went to see Times Square just to say we did. Too crowded, really obnoxious-but done! Check it off the list!
My bad sleeping was apparent last night. I didn't bring anything because I thought I'd be exhausted and that woukd knock me out. I was mistaken. The butler brought us coffee (no joke) and were getting ready to do something-not sure what!

Doney, Done, Done!
I finished a year of herceptin today!!! Yeah me! This completes a year and a half of non stop treatment. Thank goodness for modern medicine, good doctors and fantastic nurses to see me through. I was joined by Marley today and all went smoothly. My bloodwork is good and I'm now on the path to seeing the doctor every three months instead of six weeks. Whoo-hoo!!
In celebration of this feat, I am treating myself to a trip to the Big Apple. On the way to the airport now. If I could, I would have snuck Marley in my carry on. She's been my light at the end of the tunnel the entire "journey".
Hope to continue on the path of health and wellness. Oh, and I'm down 2 lbs., not a lot, but a good start!
Happy Day!!
Hugs to everyone! Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers to keep me healthy and strong! Love!

Time Flies
I just wrote a long post on the wrong blog and it won't copy and paste. Poop. I'm doing well. Haven't heard from mugga scan so I'll assume that my heart is fine. I have some odd leg sensations, like muscle spasms that make me a little concerned. I'm only concerned because tamoxifen can cause clots. I don't have any signs of a clot in the normal way, or else I'd be more concerned. I have an email into my doctor to see what I should do.
This Friday is my last herceptin infusion. Yeah! Close this long chapter! I'll keep my port for another year I think. Just in case. Screw that. I would like it gone. Going on a trip with Kristin this weekend to kind of celebrate the end-haven't really celbrated any other milestones-too many I guess.
Dane's gone to a second week of camp, he had such a great time, again, he asked to return. So we let him go. Kind of miss the boy, but he's having so much fun. Miscellaneous week for Marley and I. Just enjoying the time off.

Yuck
Tomorrow morning I have my last, I think, Mugga heart scan. The test itself is no big deal, but I have to get an IV drawn and I really hate that. I'll be a big girl and deal, but not a fun way to start the day.
Hope it all comes out normal! I have one last herceptin next Friday! That will mark a year of that treatment!
