Good Day!

I felt pretty good today, maybe the excitement if getting my camper helped. I've got energy and couldn't wait to get my hands on it!

By the time I got back from softball she was there. I had to get a tow truck to get her out, but she made it. I have a new blog. All for the camper.  With pics. If you're interested, let me know. I'm not linking then as far as I know.

I have 11 days until surgery. I have a bunch of school work to do, and a lot of games to sit through. I want to get the camper gutted before surgery so everything is clean to work in.

Here's to feeling good and the start of having my glamper!

Almost June!

I am blogging from the computer which is a rarity since Brad is always on it at night. I use my ipad, and only have limited features.  Whatever, it is just nice to see things large and use a keyboard.  Where's Brad if I am on the computer?  Well, he and a friend are on their way to our place in Wisconsin to bring back my camper.  They have a plan, not sure if it is going to work, but I do trust Brad's judgment.  He isn't always right, but he wouldn't drive 3.5 hours each way if he wasn't confident in being able to be successful in his journey...see, that is a journey! Ha!

I felt pretty good today.  Less stomach crap.  I am thinking that my crazy mind manifests pains... could be. Now that I got the results that I am clean inside, I feel better.  How could I be crazy if I acknowledge that I know that this could be happening subconsciously?  Whoa.  Maybe I am a psychic, or more likely, a psycho.  Either way, I feel good in the gut today.  As for my left side, argh!  I have nothing good to say except June 10th, cannot come soon enough!  I am looking for serious relief.  Like the kind you get when you take off too tight pants you have been wearing all day...you know that aaahhhhh...... feeling.  Damn.  I am getting my hopes up high for that...but I was told it was like that.  Wishful thinking.  I have a premonition that my end result won't be as fabulous as I would like.  Perhaps super lopsidedness or size difference.  At this point I don't care.  I do care, but there isn't a lot more I would be willing to do. Hopefully I am wrong.  Trust the doctor. He worked magic the last time he was in there. If not, change them out, buy a padded bra, move on.

Spent almost 3 hours at a softball game tonight. That is on top of last nights 3 hour baseball game.  Phew.  I love going to the games. I love watching the kids play and I really enjoy talking with the other parents. Both teams are very enjoyable.  Another game tomorrow, and Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday...no break in sight.  Oh well, could be worse things to do.  Like all the stuff I did last year at this time.

Fingers crossed for:  Brad successfully bringing back my glamper to be...not sure the name yet.  Going to start a blog for rehabbing the camper.  I want to document it for Marley.
Fingers crossed that I am on the road to no pain, discomfort and all health related things are good!
Fingers crossed that surgery goes well and I get good results!  We will revisit those last two often.

Happy Weekend

Okay

I was on a field trip today when I  got my lab results from the various biopsies they took during my scopes. Overall, the first line of the report is all I understood: all findings were benign, come back in five years. The rest was all this medical stuff I couldn't understand. I did filter out mild chronic gastritis. Not sure what that even is. I tried to read it on my phone but I was busy, haven't looked again because I don't want to yet. All I need to hear is that no cancer or bad stuff was found. I'm taking the meds the GI gave me, but not sure they're working. I have an ulcer and now this gastritis stipuff, that's got to be what is causing my dumb stomach issues. Or at least I still hope so.

I'll be honest, it's scary. My life is scary. I can't explain it any other way. Every ache and pain or weirdness freaks me out. It sucks and I don't let it stop me, but I wish it wasn't like that. It's also very lonely because nobody understands. Okay, not nobody, few people understand.  Plus people don't want to hear about how you're scared, they don't.  People only want to really hear, " I'm fine."  I live a strange life.  This is a long haul marathon and I'm on an open road alone.

I've been to a game every night this week and tonight's three hour baseball game got us home at 9:30! That's too late for dinner and too late for not being at home. Argh! We have games everyday for the next 8 days.

I think brad is going to try to get my camper this weekend.  I sure hope his plan works.

Happy Camper

I'm still on a "found my camper" high. I want it here so bad!! I've watched a few how to videos-I'm sure I'll be viewing a lot more. Mars and I will need to spend some quality time at the fabric store picking a color scheme. I know that's way ahead of us, but it's a great motivator. Knowing there are curtains and cushions ready at the helm will empower us to work!

Today my weird stomach thing was pretty obvious, but I did forget to take the pill the GI put me on. I took it all weekend and felt good. I took it this afternoon when I got home.  I haven't heard anything from the samples they sent out. He said about a week, and it's been a week. Makes me nervous. The longer the wait the worse the news, found that out first hand. Maybe Memorial Day threw them off.
Can't do much about it.  Fingers crossed!  I've got plans for this summer!

I'm thinking of starting a second blog about the camper. That way we can share our progress with those who care.

8 days of work. Hold tight! That means 13 days until these super painful expanders are replaced with -anything smooshier! Coughing hurts and sneezing-feels like I'm having a heart attack. Countdown is on.

What a Memorable Weekend!

Yes, I said memorable instead of memorial-because it was a great weekend full if things we'll remember forever! I think I'll list them in order of happening:

1. Gorgeous weather
2. Became the proud owner of my own vintage camper!!! The 4 year quest is over!!!! That's a whole story in its own!!! I'm so happy!!! I had even had a premonition prior to this weekend that this was the weekend I'd find my GLAMPER!  It actually found me.
3. We had a log explode, shoot a fireball 15 ft. Into the air and spray embers everywhere burning all of our canvas on our sling chairs. We had decided to eat inside.  Luckily. Sounded like a M80-scared the crud out of us. No joke. It was heard far away and people thought we were shooting fireworks. Thank goodness we weren't out there.
4. All four of us competed against each other in an art project.
5. We went on a beautiful canoe trip. We went with our friends who have a cabin up there. Dane kayaked and the three of us canoed. All bluffs and twists in river. Perfect weather too!
6. Did I mention the camper??????
It was an awesome weekend. I'll share the story another night. It's pretty unbelievable actually.
There she is. She is now resting in my barn. She does not have road worthy wheels or tires. We plan to flat bed tow her home. Hopefully next weekend. She's about 12ft long. Probably a1967-69. She needs work, but she's a keeper. She's been stored indoors so she's not moldy. I can see the beauty in her-so can Marley...this is for us. Dane's going to help, already has. Brad will too-but doesn't want it to be his project. Good. I don't want it to be his either. Yeah!!!!!  I'm so excited!!!  This year is looking up!!!!

Busy Wednesday-No Creative Name for Today

I went for my last PT for awhile.  I know what stretches to do and will continue working on them at home.  She told me that if within 30 days I want to come back I can without another script.  We thought it would be good to come back after surgery and set a plan for strengthening my shoulder and arms to get back into the physical shape I want to be in. Roller derby is out, but I still want to draw my bow and do other normal things I used to.  She said 12 weeks of strength training at home 3x a week will get me there. I can do that. I'm supposed to start with soup can weights. That's easy enough.  So I say. She was great, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable PT.

After PT was Marley's game-they won. Then Brad, Marely and I went for dinner. Dane was just coming home from his babysitting job. Time to rest. Gone all day.  That's okay, I don't mind it-I like being busy!
